  1. It's not just Porro, pretty much every player has come out publicly in support of Ange… was it Bissouma calling him a father figure?. Tell you what anyone coming in has their hands full getting the dressing room back onside because they won't be happy going into that Super Cup final without the man who got them there.

  2. Porro is referring to Son. A big part of Spurs problem is players like Son doing their own thing and not following instructions, he's done it for 2 seasons and its why he got dropped. Son also lacked class when he refused to acknowledge Ange's role in the Europa win. If it wasnt for Ange Son would still have won nothing.

  3. Look chaps, Ange in his full career has done something almost humanly impossible … wherever he's gone he's turned mid-table sides into trophy winners … everywhere. Why is that? Good question, I know the answer, but I'll leave you pundits to speculate. Have a nice day.

  4. Imo opinion it's completely fine to change your mind after a cup win because it's a significant change. ie if he loses the final, yes, he goes but if he wins, he shows he can win a major trophy where some of the best managers in the world have failed. That new information post game is more than enough for anyone to change their mind IF they so choose.

In short imo to say one win changes nothing is very wrong in the context of winning a trophy or not.

  5. The bread and butter is the league and Spurs are first team to lose 22 games in a season and not get relegated iwhich is totally embarrassing …..beating Gimp United and Man United in the worse Euro Final ive seen dosent change anything.
Spurs are a poor team with a average manager who will struggle in the league next season

  6. I think he may have misspoke, I think he might have meant people in the front office, people with weight at the club, not talking about Romero, Maddison, or Son, so…

  7. European cup and Champion's league football next year in only his second season. WTF do you want? If Tottenham let Ange go then they're ungrateful plonkers who don't deserve him.
Jordan talks about what he'd do in Levy's shoes but he's never done anything remotely like Levy or, for that matter, Ange. Pundits talking for the sake of noise.

  8. If Daniel Levy needs to confirm anything with senior players, or to get a "vibe check" he is part of the problem. Performance can be measured and quantified. Sure there are qualitative measures, but you don't even need them based on Ange's 2 years at Tottenham. Take out the first 10 games of his first season "the honeymoon phase" and Tottenham have been awful even when they've had a good number of their starting team available. Their end to this season looks like last season, except Ange gets to excuse it by pointing to the Europa league being a priority. Okay, but objectively speaking you weren't fielding a reserve team out there or a bunch of under 21 players. The teams you selected were good enough to put up a fight, grind out some draws, fluke some wins. Look at Iraola at Bournemouth who suffered a horrific number of injuries over a short period of time early on the 2nd half of the season. They went on a great run, even beat Newcastle 4-1 at their ground if I recall. So he should be measured based on his peers and what they managed to produce under similar circumstances. It is not enough to just throw you hands up and say it's okay we lost almost every game because my focus was elsewhere. It doesn't work that way. Other managers in the league had injury crisis's at different moments and responded far better. Often when you listen to the best managers they don't ever use it as an excuse like Ange, because that filters down to the other players. The best managers use a 'next man up' approach and mentality which is far more fortifying and unifying. That is a qualitative measure I would charge Ange with. His teams have no fight. They only play well when circumstances and conditions are heavily in their favor. There are so many reason why Levy should sack Ange I see no reason for him to consult any Spurs players.

  9. When Ange came, Tottenham had finished 8th, no Europe, and sold Kane, one of the best players in the world. In his first season finishes 5th and qualifies for Europa, and in its 2nd "terrible" season wins the first major trophy in 40+ years and qualifies for Champions League. And these are not good enough to have a 3rd season for a lot of people it seems. Well if they sack Ange, I have no doubt Spurs will go back being incredibly spursy and Ange will leave the legend that managed to break the curse and win something with spursy Spurs.

  10. Ange has 1-3 months if the league form doesn't improve. He shouldn't wait to get sacked he should quit. I don't care how inferior Europa League was in terms of opposition quality. We had a desire and fight to go all the way. Trophy delivered. Ange out Frank Or Iraola in. That's Levy's Thinking! This Squad isent anywhere good enough for Champions league. We would probably be out in group stage.Uo the Spurs!!! and Well done for finally bringing Silverware to the Club. Be very Proud!

  11. Ange will go but it is very spursy to sack him.. Only issue I have with ange and modern managers more primarily is the fact that they choose not to adapt to situations.. That's not football

  12. We shouldn’t be considering keeping him.. a very lucky cup run a very poor Man U in the final with one very lucky goal..
finishing 17th is absolutely not acceptable. Period

  13. You left our half of the quote from Porro. Porro was asked about the comment about 'people in the dressing room with weight' and he said that he actually meant that everyone in the dressing room was on board. He was implying that others needed to understand. He emphasised that the whole dressing room with with Ange.

  14. You can tell the dozy internet fans who haven't sat through every league game of "Angeball" and paid thousands for the priveledge. Beating Bodo Glimt and the worst Utd side in history with 27% possession doesn't suggest he has "adapted" just that we were least worst in those games. The trophy win doesn't just erase 34 defeats in 66 since the Chelsea game last year.

  15. Simon is an absolute moron, don't go ask players for their opinions?? Can't believe this guy is so dumb. Player moral is the most important thing in a club.

  16. Given him the tools? Sold Harry Kane. When you saw clear as day the team struggled in season one with injuries and suspensions yet bought teenage talent which had no Premier League experience? Even Bergvall said in an interview he struggled under sheer number of games he was made to play. I'm 100% sure Ange had no intention of playing Bergvall, Gray or Moore as much as they did. It was only out of sheer necessity to field a team these kids got the minutes they did. Solanke was the only experienced signing and even then, he was brought in late. If Levy sacks Ange, then he should sack himself as well, as he was more responsible for the terrible season than Ange. Levy was asking Ange to win a marathon with both legs tied together.

  17. Think the press said more things they should not off. More than ange. Did, this show is poor. Jim whyte mis quoting again .

  18. I would like Jim and Simon to talk about this nonsense so called Club World Cup 😂😂what are the criterias to be there ? Is there any qualifications for it ? Why were there allowed to call it Club World Cup when we know there are so many big and good teams not participating? Why can’t they call it : Summer US club tournament 😂😂😂
