  1. PSG have a similar business model to Man Cheaty. There is no way Arsenal, as a properly run club, can compete financially with either of them. That's not to say we cannot compete on the pitch, but some of the Arsenal fans, if that is what they are, need to be realistic about what can be achieved in the transfer market. Signing a top quality RW, who will likely be a back up, makes no sense when we need a striker, midfielder and a LW as a priority. PS Charles is not stealing a living as a journalist. He's just a sensible one who does not jump on the hype wagon that some others do. If you prefer to hear a load of hype there are plenty of others you can watch for that.

  2. “It’s going to be a huge transfer window for Arsenal! Big investments incoming!”

    Meanwhile, every report says:
    – “Price will be key for Gyökeres or Šeško”
    – “Wages/fees too high for Williams or Rodrygo”
    – And once again we’re being linked with free transfers of washed-up players.

At this rate, I’ve got a feeling United will end up having a better window than us by September.

How are we ever supposed to raise our level if we’re not willing to pay for actual quality?
We’re in the Champions League for the third season in a row, and this year we reached the semi-finals — bringing in around £150 million in prize money alone.
So how is it possible that we still have to be this cautious in the market, while other clubs don’t seem to face the same limitations?

  3. Why should we as fans be patient when you see teams around us already showing ambition!? All whilst we just keep hearing is regurgitated reports about zubimendi, sesko, gyokeres! Where’s our ambition???

  4. Arsenal wouldn't spend big on winger, Mbeumo could be as good as we'd get. Saka needs competition, and rotation. Sorry Nwaneri not ready to be Saka alternative a yet.

We must have a second striker and that's not Havertz. Replace Jesus with Watkins, plus Sesko or ideally Osimhen . Buy 2 striker and 1 winger.

Agreed with some here Saka wasn't playing particularly well before being injured.

Charles, Arteta didn't exactly spend little over 4, 5 seasons …net £800m+ .. just that he bought many duds, not selling well, and not gone for more obvious, less risky, buys

Probably receive little from Vieira 35m, Lokonga 15m, Nelson 15m , Tierney 10m, Tomi 15m, Jesus 20m,, Zinchenko 20m…. big, ambitious clubs would have moved them on last summer or just released them like we did 2, 3 seasons ago…. waste of wages

  5. I have one question charles, at what point do these players get to rest?? I know its mostly international players and theres the huge percentage of players who dont make it, but regardless, these players have too many games, its ridiculous. Is there anyone looking into the football calendar for these guys?

  6. Sometimes Arsenal does grind my gears. For example Mbeumo goes to United. He would have been good for the squad. Then we will be trying to get a winger and end up getting someone from the Championship or someone aging out from Chelsea. So with that in mind. I reckon we will be re-signing Sterling😒.

  7. Sane, Willian, Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Trossard. Arteta when it comes to the attack is basically Prem experience first which is quite disappointing, he seems to lack faith in any attacker outside of the league, which is why I had this odd feeling we still might end up with Watkins until it was confirmed this week his not in the conversation thankfully.

  8. Such brain dead comments, are these people seriously getting riled up over nothing. Arsenal is looking at two forwards, fans cry about why one over the other. Arsenal fail to sign the main target, fans cry about not having a plan B. The recruitment team will look at a lot of options, let’s have a meltdown after we get some official updates. Some of those comments are absolutely ridiculous and shocking.

  9. If we get Sane on a free for back up to Saka AND another winger to start on the right wing then I am ok with that. Or if we got him and Eze as a hybrid CAM/Winger then again I'm all for it to build out the squad. But if he is the main winger signing, then disappointing is a huge understatement and another sign that this club just has not learnt what it's going to take to get over the line.

  10. Arsenal should go for both Sesko and Gyokeres. We have been told how this window will be unprecedented for Arsenal. One striker and a winger passed their prime is not unprecedented. It's still early days.

  11. I think Sane is great. But, I would be SO disappointed if he was the only wise forward signing. My money is on him signing a new contract with Bayern. At this point I think Bayern player agents are contracted to get the press to mention interest from Arsenal.

  12. Sane is way more risky than Sterling in my opinion. Sterling was a year long loan with Arsenal paying only part of his wage. Sane would be our player for a few years and his wages are quite high I imagine.

  13. Thanks for your professionalism, Charles. I almost lost it when you read out that garbage from that guy. I honestly dont know how you managed to stay calm with a smile on your face.
    We appreciate your good works.
Don’t allow some lowlife idiot tell you otherwise.

  14. The window has just opened, you have no clue about what's going on in the organization nor should we. Just support the team; if not, get off the train and throw your support elsewhere.

  15. Great show as always Charles.
    On Sesko vs gyokeres.
With how quickly and Professionally that man united who are in the mud are moving in the market, do you think United make arsenals decision for them? I see gyokeres wanting to continue playing under Amorim. If United get gyokeres suddenly it’s Sesko or nothing for arsenal. We need to move much much faster.

  16. From Williams
    To Rodrigo.
To a 29 year old sane? No thinks. Sterling 3.0. If this club wants trophies it’s over if they do this.
However I don’t think he’s even on the market, this is a repeat of the kimmich saga

  17. Sane would be a joke. Another washed up player on too much money. Mind you probably fits the Arsenal profile with Havertz and Jesus😢

  18. I don't get the reluctance with Sane. He is still world class. When it looks like we're going for Sesko instead of Gyokeres everyone starts moaning that 'This is a project player – we need players who are already winners and ready to come in and do the job NOW' – that sounds like Sane to me.

  19. Liverpool haven’t signed a right winger for years….why? Because everyone knows Salah will play every game. Mbuemo is too good to be second fiddle regardless if we wanted him or not.

  20. With what we just experienced with Sterling, we shouldn't be looking at another playing that is in decline. Buy players who are at their peak or approaching it.

  21. Hi Charles. Always appreciate your videos. Any news on what’s happening with Kiwior? Any possibility of extending him or is it looking more like the team will sell him?

  22. Hi Charles,

Thanks for the content and long term listener but I have to agree that arsenal do not behave like a big club for the most part, one of the listeners made a comparison between us, PSG and Liverpool but then you only focused on PSG and their unlimited resources. Liverpool are more analogous to us and our operating models look at their bench compared to ours, Darwin Nunez has failed in 2 seasons and they moving him on yet we will persist will not do the same with Havertz.

Furthermore, we should be looking at 2 wingers and a forward no question. One to replace Martinelli and one to give Saka serious competition, do not give us the reply of Nwaneri as Saka's replacement as everyone saw how many minutes he got at the business end of last season.

If he (Arteta) is really serious about being ruthless then this is the time.

  23. Now nico Williams is extending this just feels like last summer we're going to be end up with sane just like how we ended up with sterling last summer. No follow up news on sesko too worrying signs to start the summer.

  24. WHY ON EARTH WOULD ARSENAL SIGN MBUENO WHEN WE HAVE SOMEONE BETTER TO COVER SAKA IN NWANEIRI SURELY THIS WOULD HINDER ETHANS DEVELOPMENT
