This analysis does not really answer the question of whether or not he’s a good captain for this team. He has never feel like a good leader for me. It’s about the quality of the relationships you build and it’s hard to gather that information. I still think replacing Bruno will lead to better days for United.
Keane's criticism in that clip was based on Bruno's pattern of running around midfield but not actually making a tackle. It's not just about the distance covered it's about what you do when you get to the ball.

I agree with this summary as a whole. Keane is a total nutter when the red mist decends.
Keane needs to stop, this is diabolical 😢
I personally believe keane isn’t a better captain than Bruno because keane was kicked out of the club for his poor manners
Bruno is CR@P
Is Keane tagged here somewhere….seems history was done better here than some of the unreasonable rants from former Captain
Fernandes is not captain material. If you need personal statistics to prove your worthiness as a captain, you’re not captain.
Fernandes’ emotions come out at the worst times and rarely help the team.
Trophies matter.
Bruno is our excellent captain and there is no-one else in the squad who could be a suitable replacement, without him we're probably relegated this season. However, he is petulant and pouts and drops shoulders when chips are down, i.e. facing a slogging. This is where I agree with Keane because he pulled our lads back into it, remember the 3-0 spurs.. no because it finished 3-5 and no treble without keanes grit and determination. Bruno is an artist, similar to Cantona in that respect, pulling all the forward attacks. Whereas a thorough captain is involved in every united kick on the pitch. Keanes irked (as usual) because he knows Bruno could have that in his locker and later (when we're not rubbish) will be the vital key in winning trophies. Keane is probably a bit jealous of Bruno's natural ability which Keane admittedly never possessed, but what he lacked in talent he made up for it in spades with commitment and grafting, never slacked off, standards ultra-high for everyone, he inspired Gary to be a good captain, left a legacy for Evra to do the same (would've liked him mentioned in the vid btw). Now our players have "respect" for those that came, however that impact they had has gone, glazers and now ineos have seen to that. Another thing in the Cantona and in the Keane era we had captains all throughout the squad, ever Schmeichel was a worthy captain, there were motivating voices throughout, impassioned performances, fighters that won, we need more of that, desperately.
The big question is that if the rumours are true should he be sold and I'm reluctantly in the Yes group, because that's a great deal for an aging player and an opportunity for our future leader.
I have the upmost respect for Bruno though, class on and off the pitch. To be a great captain fighting off relegation is something for sure.
Great video btw, engaging and thumbnail is awesome, well done! subbed!
When Bruno Fernandes was at Sporting, and after the training ground was invaded by an handful of supporters who attacked some of the players, Bruno quited the club alegating he was too traumatised, and couldn't sleep at night. Then returned with a hefty pay raise.
After he left Sporting for United, Sporting won the first league title in 20 years.
Unted will never win anything relevant for as long as that little weak minded rat is there. He isn't a captain, and will never be.
What!? Show him a video that some random YouTuber made. I don't think so mate 😂😂😂
Great point. Being emotional doesn't make you a poor captain. It shows commitment.
if not him then who? Name an alternative. And about emotion It's not like kane Didn't criticize has teammates in live 😂
Keane is bit jealous i think
These pundits act like they were perfect players but wouldn’t survive in this era with lots of spot light and social media
Bruunooo bruuunooo bruuunooo
Keane's one of my all time favourites but he'd play like 90 mins a season now a days cause he'd constantly be sent off, fined n suspended for the season if he did everything he used to do as a player on and off the pitch
Excellent video and Bruno carries the team far more than Roy ever needed to.
😂is this a joke! Bruno is a not good player! And shud never have been the captain but we dont have anyone else..dont waste ur 8mins here
Bruno is a weak captain. KEANE is right… talented.. but leadership skills is of a Karen out of Florida. Very simple. WEAKNESS..
Go watch our last couple of matches, we're 3 pts off 17th in the league if u don't listen to what Keane is saying you will be down in the 1sr division embarrassing title and club delete this tripe
Sorry mate. But with Bruno as captain, we've run a few bits and peices but NEVER looked in for challanging for a Prem title. That as a captain should be so that you need your boys to do better.
He was a legend once, he’s just a bitter bitter man now. His analysis at times is on point, but when it comes to Man Utd, he can’t seem to contain his hatred. The major difference between Bruno and Keane is the quality of the players that play with them.
Forgive Keano he failed as a manager and lets be honest he`s not the most intelligent man in the world
I adored the 90s and early 2000s Reds. They forged my love of football and of United. But I’m getting really tired of Keane’s half-cocked bitter old man schtick.
It’s tarnishing his legacy for me, the same way Shaq’s legacy has been systematically sanded off by his behavior and half-baked takes as a pundit.

If they hired Roy Keane as manager, and let him terrify and shame the squad into showing the same fight and commitment you’d find in a mid table championship team, I can’t see them being any lower in the table. It’s not like their current manager is showing tactical brilliance, whatever Roy’s shortcomings as a tactical leader you wouldn’t see his team play with 3 CB and strikers still had all day on the ball to pass and shoot.
Brilliant assessment, Bruno’s passion is undeniable but he hasn’t had the quality around him like the other captains have had. Amorim has improved him because under Ten Hag he gave the ball away from too often while making killer passes on occasions, Amorim has fine tuned Bruno’s decision making. There is no one else in this squad that could be labeled a captain. Keane has not been able to name an alternative in the current squad when asked. There’ll never be another Keane, his comments have also improved Bruno I believe.
Well put Sam. I am tired of these ‘pundits’ whom have all failed as Managers and yet we should still judge them based on their playing days!! They should be supporting us, giving commendation and confidence, that’s if they truly are UNITED legends and not all about themselves.
Keane is 100% right
Keane needs to watch this
I agreed with keane….
This ex-players need to understand that things change, what might work for them under SAF dosen’t means to work it now.
With the reporters, social media & the Glazer, Roy Keane wouldn’t survive under these as well
Keane is overrated, i just remember watching him injure opposition players back in the day.
Bruno isnt a terrible captain especially based on performance and loyalty. Bruno has literally denied Saudi..
People problem with Bruno is just his moaning

People problem with Bruno is just his moaning and we haven’t picked up best enough trophies… UEL incoming
Roy Keane was a fantastic player surrounded by fantastic players. Bruno is surrounded by lesser players all over the pitch in a Premier League that has quality from top to bottom. No comparison.
Excellent video!
Oh Boy how i would love to see the Keane with this medíocre team
Bruno should be the second or third top dog in a proper team.
If he is the top banana in a team, the team can't improve.
4:42 am I the only one who thinks Steve Bruce looks like the guy from Tears for Fears?
Bruno is part of a team that has failed miserably. And for a portion of that time he has been captain. He has been our best player but I think it is to the detriment of the team. He has never been a force multiplier, never made the people around him better. Keane was a warrior for the team, not just himself.
He's a Fancy Dan who thrives in a bad side built around him.
The only captain he should be compared to is Maguire.
Bruno is a different character than Roy. Bruno leads as an example and so did Keane. I guess our current captain is the face of our failure and a name to pin the blame for the teams performances. I guess the same situation was with Maguire when he was wearing the armband.
