This is ridiculous. He’s only overtly criticised when he has a bad scoring game BECAUSE he gets in and around it, causes trouble, creates problems and gives defenders a headache.
He is why we won the game 3-1. Aye Salah and Virgil scored but this man’s tenacity, drive and sheer will to keep chasing the ball to keep hounding defenders is so so valuable.
If Jota or Salah don’t score then usually they don’t have a direct impact on the game at all more so specifically for Jota than Salah. But because they don’t put themselves in the positions to make mistakes they don’t get criticised, it’s nonsense and ridiculous.
Nunez is a clearly fantastic player and is incredibly unique in the way in which he attacks opposition defences. Btw pretty sure he got MOTM from Amazon commentators tonight so they obviously saw something that Rory’s gone and missed.

Nothing is wrong with Nunez. My question is: what is wrong with "experts" on youtube? Suarez struggled also in his first two years for Liverpool and wasted dozens of opportunities. Nunez has scored 9 in 23 games. Suarez scored 4 in 13 games in his first year and 17 in 39 in his second year. Trent had a great game today. He had the flu 5 days ago and was looking knackered at the end so think he's still recovering but he looked really good. His link up with Robbo is one for the books. Love those 2 together.
