26-year-old Ben Whittaker has earned plenty of attention for his style of fighting over his first seven pro fights, following a silver medal win at the Tokyo Olympics, but while he has criticisms — which are shared by many Whittaker is a legitimate talent.

  1. Let him have fun playing the clown 🤡 But when he comes across a Mexican boxer who gives him a lesson to remember, I hope for his sake that he’ll find the motivation to keep going—unlike that other clown.

  2. Does this guy realise he looks a complete tosser? What sort of imbecile would think all that dancing about looks cool? He must have the mindset of a 10 year old. Let's see how far he goes when he as fought good boxers.

  3. He has tallent no doubt. However for me his power doesnt seem to be scary at lt hvy. Remember this is lower level opposition really all but his 2nd fight at that time. All other fights should be easy stoppages. Unless he adjusts his style and frustrates opponent's with his speed and slickness. Wele see. Plus his chins untested basically. Its too early to say either way yet. Time will tell

  4. i dont understand the hate toward him, I dont think he is underestimating his opponent, that's called taunting and it's legitimate tactic, not too mention his punches are insanely fast, sharp and accurate… the dances and all are part of the show…
look at when the judge announced the winner, Ben often lift his opponent's hand as proof that outside the match, he's still pay respect to his opponent
