Thomas Tuchel raised eyebrows when he named Jordan Henderson in his first England squad. 

Jordan Henderson hasn’t played for England since November 2023 but looks likely to receive some playing minutes across the qualifying games against Albania and Latvia.

But Jonathan Wilson argues that Jordan Henderson should be in the contingency that travels to the 2026 World Cup for non-footballing reasons.
