The Rockets simply have a more balanced team than GSW right now. Plus their team is young, so chasing down, tiring out and using force in the paint are real options.
GSW really need a big guy in the center to contest the paint.

I remember when the Rockets brought in VanVleet and Brooks; I felt like the team was really overpaying for them, giving them the type of contracts you'd normally reserve for the league's stars. But I also figured that if these were the guys they really wanted – veterans who had proven themselves and who could lead the young 'uns in learning how to win in the NBA – they could be worth every penny. The blueprint is clearly working.
