Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Rodri and Erling Haaland are both back in training – but urged caution on the return to action of our Ballon d’Or winner.

The Euro 2024 winner subsequently underwent surgery in Madrid before setting out on his lengthy rehabilitation.

The 28-year-old had been a popular presence on the CFA sidelines watching training as well at the Etihad on matchdays with Guardiola saying in his last press conference that he loved seeing the central warrior back amongst the group.

  1. Pep always seems so defensive. Yes they're daft questions with obvious answers half the time ("Would it be good to have Rodri back?" Duh!) but they're just looking for sound bites, relax man! 😅

  2. First to drop the best comment😂
Why not go for Jamal Musiala to be KDBs successor, and Change the formation to 4_3_3
What we used in Winning titles over the years
And the play Doku left wing, Savinho right wing , Haaland or marmoush front
Middle( Bernado , Rodri and Foden
Back( Khusanov, Gvardiol, Dias and o Reilly) 😊

  3. "3rd Place or FA Cup" Who is paying these journalists? my 8 year old nephew could think of better questions.

  4. Rodri should only be introduced when he is 101% fit and ready, same for the other injured players. Rushing them back will only see them return to the injury table.

  5. This summer is really crucial for the next 4/5 years of the club, in terms of ingoings, retainings and outgoings. Please let's be smart about it. Whatever happens we have Pep, but we should make his life easier.

  6. Mancity were lucky with Forest hitting the woodwork multiple times, not giving KDB a (reduced wages) contract is plain dumb. I hope he moves to another premier league club and teaches city a lesson next season.

  7. I know the reporters have to ask questions but the one about (paraphrasing), "Do the wolves players feel better/will play dfferently that they are not worried about relegation?" That one was a doozy. A) How would he know? B) Why would he care what their motivation or level of motivation be? C) Wolves have won 6 matches in a row. They appear to be a dangerous squad no matter the circumstances. We need points to secure european football. Go get points.

Next one about FIFA Club Cup. That is months away and not exactly a pressing concern at this moment. Three points tomorrow is. All points are and this is the next opportunity to get them.
