      As a barca fan, Raphiña winning the balon dor would signify just how washed the award is. Even lamine doesn't come anywhere close. If the award is to be won on merit, then PEDRI is the clear favorite.

      Neymar in Barcelona time was give 500 % more than Pedri in every aspect 😢😢
      But also nobody said he deserves that
      He give his best at every year but only plays one good season and wanted a ballonder like buying a pen is really degrading football value 😢

      For me he would be the most deserving player to win it obviously if barça wins ucl and etc.. Because he is the best player in the barça team that without him, its totally different, the team gets overwhelmed in midfield because there is no pedri that he does everything, the key passes, ball recoveries, interceptions, he controls the game, dictactes the tempo, without him barça absolutely falls. Ive always admired him and im so happy he is finally getting what he deserves and he would be my personal favorite to win it, and I think it would be really deserved.

      As a Madrid fan I think Raphina is clear among the Barcelona players. Lamine Yamal is crazy good for a 17yr old, but age aside, he is not as good as raphina. Pedri is amazing when he plays, but as you say, he isnt always avaible. Winning the ballondor is also about staying healthy and performing during the entire season. The only player I think deserve it from Barca is Raphina. Otherwise I think Salah deserves it. What a season he is having, as always.

      Pedri is a blend of all the attributes of a great midfielder:

      1. Passing – His ability to play first time passes and play beautiful through balls is something that he is great at. He’s also very good at switching the play to players like Yamal and Raphinha.

      2. Defending – Pedri is not extremely well known for his defensive attributes but should be. Pedri has won possession back 227 times this season, more than any other player in Europes top 5 leagues.

      3. Skills/Dribbling – His discipline with not loosing the ball and taking on his man as a midfielder is incredible. There are many great dribblers in Europe like Yamal, Mbappe, Désiré Doué. etc. But Pedri is never mentioned in the discussion of true dribblers even though he should be.

      Summary – Pedri can play as a holding midfielder, a playmaker, or a central midfielder with no problem. When he is not playing for the Catalans and he is either not healthy or being benched Yamal,
      Raphinha, Lewa, de Jong and just the whole team in general struggle.

      Something I think people don’t rate enough is how pedri uses all his attributes in coordination
      He does a busquets esque holding if the ball to a turn
      And then does an inesta dribble through three and ends it with a xavi through pass
      All in one sequence he might not be at the same level of those legends in those specific things but him having all those skills and seeing them flow into each other makes pedri a one in long while midfielder

      Whoever wins the Ballon'Dor this season will show which category France Football cares about most. If Raphina wins it, it's stats. If Yamal wins it, it's trophies. If Pedri wins it, it's impact on the game (imo the most important).

      2cm winning it in a row is unlikely. Balloon door is a waste, marketing nonsense these days, those clowns don't actually watch ball. Look at least years list, & no in not taking about top2. How tf was the kid at 8 when he barely played yet, half a season & 1 goal, yes it was great but 1, at euro. Vvd & salad didn't make top 30 when he was at worst second best cb in pl, but ruben, who man city fans themselves will admit was poor, but even top 5, was above the 3 best in pl. That useless gk who makes so many mistakes that people gloss over was only gk there, nobody in their right mind thinks he's sitting vlose to best gk itw, not even in pl, nowhere near. But worst os look man making top20 just for scoring a hat trick in second tier eu final, gtfo

      You said it best. For Pedri, it's a question of if he is healthy(if he stays injury free). Any season he stays injury free, he is the best midfielder
